Hotels in Sicily,Italy

Sicily, the largest of all the Mediterranean islands and synonymous with the Mafia, offers a balmy climate with temperatures in the summer averaging at 35°. The main resorts also encompass the main gateways to the island and include Palermo, Catania and Siracusa.

Probably the most famous attraction on the island is Mount Etna towering over the eastern side of the island at almost 11.000ft. Although still an active volcano, excursions are available to book in resort for the more adventurous.

A visit to the town of Marsala, the home of the so named dessert wine is worth a visit and can be reached by public transport and the nearby beaches are a must see. Surrounding the island are a number of smaller islands, collectively known as the Aeolian Islands, widely unspoilt and easily accessed by many boat transfers from the northern side of the island.

We have picked out a selection of our favourite hotels in Sicily for you to have a look through, including a 3 star hotel in converted railway house and a range of modern apartments and villas in Selinunte. For even more choice please use our search function.
