Hotels in Sharm el Sheikh,Egypt
Sharm el Sheikh is perhaps the most well known resort in the Red Sea Riviera and over the years has become one of the most popular winter sun destinations for UK tourists. With almost all of the resort’s hotels offering some kind of water sports this is a great destination to try a new activity or indulge in a passion. These mild waters are home to an array of tropical fish, and with such clear water you can see them easily.
With a warm climate all year round; whether you go during summer or winter you will enjoy temperatures averaging at 30°c!
Like many other Arab resorts, there are many souks and bazaars where you can barter for the best price and these are a great way to see how the locals live.
After dinner, head for Namma Bay which is home to everything from nightclubs to casinos. Here you can try local food in some great restaurants although hotels in this part of the World are well known for there grand restaurants.
From Sharm, ferries can take you across the Red Sea to the resorts of Hurghada and El Gouna and many local companies organise day trips to the Pyramids of Giza and the Temples of Luxor.

Things to do in Sharm el Sheikh
- Hard Rock Café, Namma Bay – head here for a cocktail or two to liven up your trip, and ask the staff to jump on the bar to dance for you!
- Hubbly Bubbly! Make sure you have a blast on the locals’ favourite at any café in the resort!
- Old Town – just 10minutes by cab from Namma Bay – with plenty of shops to choose from, all cheaper than the more touristy Namma Bay.
- Fantazia Show, Old Town – an amazing show of lights, acrobats, camels, penguins & flamingos – with some history thrown in too!
- Day trip to Luxor – usually a full day tour with pick up in the early hours, but worth it!
