Hotels in Prague,Czech Republic
Whether visiting to enjoy the fantastic historical sights of Prague Castle, St Charles Bridge and the Jewish quarter, or for a wilder weekend of partying in the many clubs and bars surrounding Wenceslas Square, or both!
Prague has it all... and all at very affordable prices. Typical food and drink prices are around half those of Western Europe and with public transport costing a fraction of that in the UK even those less fond of walking have no excuse not to hop on a tram and explore all districts of this fascinating city!
We have picked out a selection of our favourite hotels in Prague for you to have a look through, including recently refurbished apartments 5 minutes from Wenceslas Square.

Things to do in Prague
- Rowing on the Vtlava, weather permitting of course! Catch some rays and tone up your arm muscles, by spending a leisurely afternoon rowing through the city along the Vtlava River! Pedalos and boats are available to hire very cheaply just a five minute walk from the city centre.
- Try out the local delicacies! For soaking up the local beers we recommend ordering a basket of fresh bread with some local cheeses, Pivni syr (beer cheese) is a lovely soft cheese usually mixed with raw onions and mustard and Niva, a locally made blue cheese has a unique taste. Meat lovers should also try pivni utopenec (pickled sausage) or the local dish of pork with cabbage and dumplings.. but be warned.. the dumplings may take some walking off!
- Take a walk up to Prague Castle and look down upon stunning views of the city, as you descend the castle slopes, stop and enjoy an ice cream whilst perusing the boutiques and crafts stands of the beautifully historic and charming Prague lesser town.
- Head to Wenceslas square and enjoy the nightlife..we recommend venturing further afield, many of the narrow street behind the square conceal much cheaper, lively bars favoured more by the locals, with live music and a more authentic czech ambience, although be aware that large same sex groups may not always be welcomed in these smaller local bars.
