Menorca or Minorca as it is sometimes known is part of the Balearics Island group, relatively smaller the island of Mallorca and it is home to collections of megalithic stone monuments. In the late 1990’s it was awarded UNESCO Menorca Biosphere Reserve status, showcasing the islands natural attractions such as lagoons, marshes and sand dunes. On the island guests will find an array of family friendly apartments and hotels to chose from.

Throughout the summer, there are many festivities including the San Joan festivities in Ciutadella, where horses are the main spectacle. The events mainly run from June to September and always popular with tourists.

Whilst on the island guests should take a boat trip around the harbour at Mao to best capture its size and beauty. Furthermore, a day at the Xoriguer Distillery where famous Menorcan Gin is produced, and guests can sample.

Things to do in Menorca
