The islands capital Palma, also home to the main tourist airport, was founded originally as a Roman camp. Since then the city has flourished and in recent years has become a popular tourist resort offering a range of attractions for tourists.
On entry to island, most guests will see Palma Cathedral before landing, with its 14th century gothic tower towering over the city. Other attractions within the city include the Passeig Maritim, the bay’s harbour, where tourists can gaze at the line up of some of the worlds most luxurious yachts.
