Los Angeles, home to the rich and famous! It attracts scores of visitors every year – hopeful artists, wannabe stars and curious tourists. July and August are the busiest and hottest months to visit Los Angeles, if you don’t mind the fog then travel in March to May and September to November it will be quieter, cooler and cheaper.
LA isn’t a city you can walk around. You will need to hire a car to see most of Los Angeles, they do have a subway system but a car is still advisable. However West Hollywood or “WeHo” is a network of sidewalks, street cafes boutiques, hip bars and a place where even Los Angelenos walk. By night it’s all about flaunting whatever you’ve got, the nightlife in WeHo is something you have to try, if this isn’t your thing, settle yourself in a street café such as Le Petit Four where you can spend hours people watching.
If you are travelling in a family then Los Angeles is perfect. Home to some of the world’s biggest, fastest and fun packed theme parks in the world, the kids won’t have time to be bored. Six Flags Magic Mountain is just north of Los Angeles and offers thrill seekers the chance to ride over 6 high speed roller coasters that will have you screaming for more!
Disneyland and its sister park California Adventure make a magical day out for any family. Downtown Disney is excellent for spending the evening dining, shopping, going to the cinema or watching live street musicians.
Film and TV lovers should head to Universal Studios. Jam packed with rides, tours and live entertainment from all your favourite movies and TV shows.
Los Angeles really does offer something for everyone so if beaches, nightlife and theme parks are really not what you are after, fear not. LA is also offers a wide variety of museums and gardens including the J. Paul Getty Center, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Museum of Neon Art, Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden and Chavez Ravine Arboretum, in Elysian Park.

Things to do in Los Angeles
- The theme parks! Disneyland California was the first to open its gates in the Walt Disney park family, since opening in 1955 it attracts millions of visitors every year. It makes a great day out for all the family and now, you can also enjoy a second park Disney’s California Adventure.
- Don’t forget about Universal Studios Hollywood – where the movies come to life!
- You must visit Hollywood Boulevard; walk the Walk of Fame, visit the Kodak Theatre for a tour of the Academy Awards new place of residence. Hollywood at Highlands is not only a shopping and entertainment complex, it also connects the Kodak Theatre and Mann’s Chinese Theatre and frames the famous Hollywood sign perfectly!
- Sunset Boulevard is probably one of the World’s most famous streets. It began as the route between the homes of the Hollywood stars to the studios. The most well known section of Sunset Boulevard is probably Sunset Strip which is the centre for Los Angeles nightlife.
- Santa Monica Beach and Pier offers beautiful views of the Pacific, as well as an amusement arcade and antique carousal.

The atmosphere is something else, a mix of Moroccan/Indian/Mexican and all the rooms are tastefully decorated in exotic colours and an eclectic mix of styles. We love Angeleno because...
The Angeleno is a super boutique hotel and affordable too! Chic and stylish and of a comfortable size, not too big or too small. Aside from the cool décor one of the best features of this hotel has to be the beds!.. Soft, plush and super comfy!! .. you will be sorely tempted to order the delicious room service kick back and watch a movie on the flat screen TV!.. But if you can drag yourself out you won’t have far to go, nestled between Brentwood and Bel Air, it's right off of Sunset, and only a few blocks from Wilshire.
