Things to do in Dublin
- Take a guided trip around Dublin Castle. Even those with only a limited interest in Irish history will find a guided tour around the castle is well worth the minimal fee. You be able to view the stunning state rooms where you will be given a potted Irish history and learn the functions of the rooms, and which famous people have stayed there... famous figures include Nelson Mandela, Margaret Thatcher and many more!
- Shopping. As all shopoholics know a new city always presents a haven of new boutiques and stores awaiting full exploration!.. Dublin is no exception, head for Grafton and O'Connell Street where you'll find all the big brand names including Brown Thomas department store for all your designer requirements. Head off the main street though and you'll also find an array of smaller, independant boutiques where you can purchase more unique items giving you that touch of individual style!
- Visit the Guinness Factory. A trip to Dublin could hardly be complete without paying the Guinness Storehouse a visit! Just a short walk from the city centre, this key attraction is easily accessable on foot. The core of the building is modelled on a giant pint glass, stretching up from reception on the ground floor to The Gravity Bar in the sky. If filled, this giant pint would hold approximately 14.3 million pints of Guinness!
