Located on the north eastern coast of Spain, Barcelona enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and cool winters. There is no shortage of attractions and things to do as the City’s diverse cultural mix bring can much to your stay.
The two imposing hills overlooking the City; Montjuic and Tibidabo, provide a great place to get great panoramic views of the City and surrounding region, either from the view points or for the more adventurous from the cable car at Montjuic. When you’re back on the ground and ready to explore all that Barcelona has to offer a visit to La Rambla is highly recommended. A cultural hotspot for the thousands of tourists that visit the City each year, this exciting promenade will grip you with its diverse range of mime acts and artists.
Explore the Ciutat Vella (the old town) and Barri Gotic (the medieval quarter) with their fine examples of Gothic architecture, which are a stark contrast to modernisme style of La Pedrera; the work of Gaudi. Another masterpiece of Gaudi, La Sagrada Familia, is another must see as the intricate details and beauty of the unfinished spires of the Sagrada Familia Church are awe inspiring. And of course don’t forget a visit to the Museu Picasso for a chance to see some of Picasso’s finest work.
